The MORE Everything® Plan FAQs

The MORE Everything Plan is closed to new accounts. Switch to the new Verizon Plan and get unlimited talk and text on America's best network, along with unlimited data options. Check out all the benefits of the new Verizon Plan today.

Our FAQs provide information about your current MORE Everything Plan benefits.

General Information
  1. The MORE Everything Plan is no longer available for new customers. If you already have The MORE Everything Plan, you can keep it, add new devices, upgrade devices and change data allowances.

We encourage you to consider switching to unlimited. Get unlimited data , talk and text and more on the network you want with Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited or Above Unlimited. Learn more about unlimited.

With MORE Everything, your account gets:

    • Unlimited domestic calling while in the US
    • Unlimited domestic and international messaging while in the US
    • Shareable data for up to 10 devices on your account
    • Mobile Hotspot

  2. Yes, you can purchase a new device or upgrade an existing one online or in the My Verizon app using device payments.

Monthly device payments provide you the flexibility to get the most current devices by making monthly payments over time rather than paying for it all up front. You'll make a monthly payment until your device is paid off.

The program requires you to enter a device installment agreement to pay for the device in monthly payments over 24 months.

    • There's a one-time $30 activation fee when you activate a new line through the device payment program.

    • There's a $30 upgrade fee when you add a new device to an existing line through the device payment program.

    • The specific terms and payment amounts can be found in your first bill and your device payment installment agreement.

    • Your monthly device payments will be charged on your bill.

    • You can choose to pay the installments over the full period of the term or in a lump sum to pay off the total price at any time.

  3. You'll have two types of charges for The MORE Everything Plan:

For example, if you have 5 devices on your account, you'll be charged a separate device access charge for each device, equaling 5 charges. Plus, you should see one charge for your data plan.

Note: If your data allowance is exceeded, you'll also see an overage charge for that.

If you're concerned about data overages, learn more about using Safety Mode on the new Verizon Plan or consider switching to unlimited. Go Unlimited. Beyond Unlimited and Above Unlimited provide unlimited data , talk and text and more. Learn more about unlimited.

  4. Yes, you can add basic phones to The MORE Everything Plan if you're already on this plan. Basic phones on The MORE Everything Plan get:

    • 700 calling minutes and unlimited messaging for $30/month
    • Pay as you go data for $5/month plus $1.99/MB
    • Calling overage rate of $0.45/minute

  5. Backdating allows you to change your plan in the middle of your bill cycle and receive one charge for the new plan instead of separate charges on one bill for each plan - the old and new one.

    • If you want to increase your data allowance, you can backdate it to the first day of your bill cycle. Your bill will be calculated as if you were on the new plan for the entire bill cycle. There are no fees for changing your plan or backdating it.

    • If you wish to decrease your data allowance, you can't backdate your bill and it will be prorated. You can still change your data allowance in the middle of your bill cycle, but you'll see two monthly access charges. You'll be charged a discounted rate for both your previous and new plan based on when you switched your plan. You also won't receive the full amount of data for the plan you switch to. Refer to our View Bill / Online Statement FAQs for more information about partial charges.

Note: There are no fees for changing your plan and doing so won't change your contract agreement period.

  6. No, if you decide to switch to a different plan, you can do so without a fee and without extending your contract term. However, you won't be able to switch back to The MORE Everything Plan. If you simply want to change your data allowance, you can do that.

Data
  1. A data allowance is the amount of data included with your selected plan. You use data on your device when you access the internet, check your email, play games, use apps (e.g., Facebook®, Twitter®, etc.) and more. Background tasks, such as syncing or location services, may also use data. With The MORE Everything Plan, the amount of data you use during these sessions will be deducted from your data allowance. The MORE Everything Plan comes with a data allowance that you can share with up to 10 lines on your account.

Small Business Plans include shareable data for up to 25 devices on 60 GB and higher voice and data plans.

The MORE Everything Plan is no longer available to sign up for. Existing customers with The MORE Everything Plan can keep the plan, add new devices, upgrade devices and change data allowances.

  2. The MORE Everything Plan is no longer available to sign up for. Existing customers with The MORE Everything Plan can keep the plan, add new devices, upgrade devices and change data allowances. If you don't have The MORE Everything Plan already, you can sign up for the new Verizon Plan.

  3. The MORE Everything Plan is no longer available to sign up for.

However, if you already use the Data Only Plan, you can keep it. You can also sign up for the new Verizon Plan with one device and/or data only.

The MORE Everything Data Only Plan offers up to 100 GB/month for devices such as tablets, notebooks and other connected devices. See the previous question for a Data Only Plan pricing chart.

  4. All overage rates are in $15 increments. The amount of overage data you get depends on your data allowance.

    Your Data Allowance
Amount of Additional Data for $15
1 GB and up 1 GB
500 MB 500 MB or 250 MB depending on when you signed up
    300 MB 300 MB
    250 MB 200 MB

If you go over your data allowance at all, you'll be charged the $15 overage rate at a minimum. Your data overage will be rounded up to the next increment. For example, if you have a 2 GB plan, and exceed the data allowance by 1.5 GB, you'll be charged $30 for the data overage.

If you're concerned about data overages, consider switching to unlimited. Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited and Above Unlimited provide unlimited data , talk and text and more. Learn more about unlimited.

  5. Yes, you can change your data allowance on The MORE Everything Plan whenever you'd like and switch between the different data allowances we offer on that plan. However, if you had a data plan at a promotional price, it won't be available at the same price if you want to switch back to it. These promotional data plans include:

    • 10 GB for $80
    • 15 GB for $100

We're encouraging everyone to consider switching to the new Verizon Plan or one of our unlimited sizes. Get the unlimited experience that fits your needs on the network you want with Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited or Above Unlimited. Get unlimited data , talk and text and more. Learn more about unlimited.

Monthly Access Charges and Device Payments
  1. For lines on The MORE Everything Plan with an active device payment agreement:

    • Active smartphone lines on MORE Everything Plans up to 4 GB, your monthly access charge is $25. However, it will show up on your bill as a $40 charge with an offsetting $15 credit.

    • Active smartphone lines on MORE Everything Plans 6 GB and higher have a $15 monthly access charge. However, it will show up on your bill as a $40 charge with an offsetting $25 credit.

    • Active basic phone lines on the MORE Everything Plan have a $20 monthly access charge. However, it will show up on your bill as a $30 charge with an offsetting $10 credit.

  2. The device access charge for a smartphone and basic phone will be different if you purchased it through device payments and are still making payments on it, or own your own device. See the following question for more details.

    Device Type
    Monthly Device Access Charge
    Smartphone
    $40
Basic phone and 4G LTE Broadband Router with Voice
    $30
    $20
    Tablets and Netbooks/Notebooks $10
    • Smartwatches
    • GizmoPal™ by LG
    • Hum+
    $5

*LTE Internet (Installed) can only be added to a plan with 10 GB or more. Or you can put it on a standalone plan. Learn more from the LTE Internet (Installed) FAQs.

    • For smartphones, the monthly access charge is $40.
      • However if you had a promotional access discount, it will show up on your bill as a $40 charge with a $15 credit (data allowance up to 4 GB) or as a $40 charge with a $25 credit (data allowance 6 GB or higher).
    • For basic phones, the monthly access charge is $30.
      • However if you had a promotional access discount, it will show up on your bill as a $30 charge with a $10 credit.

  3. The charge varies based on the features and functionality of the device. Smartphones have a higher monthly access charge because they typically use a lot of data, minutes and messages compared to tablets, netbooks or connected devices, which just use data.

International Benefits
  1. You can send as many as you want from the US. Every device on your account gets to send unlimited text and multimedia messages internationally from the US on The MORE Everything Plan.

The new Verizon Plan has unlimited international messaging from the US, but talk, text and data from Mexico and Canada is included with 12 GB data sizes and larger, including unlimited data options.

  2. We have several options for customers who make frequent international calls from the US.

For more information, refer to our International Services While in the US page.

For information about using your device while in another country, visit our International Services While Traveling Outside the US page.

Talk, text and data from Mexico and Canada are included with 12 GB data sizes and larger (including unlimited options) on the new Verizon Plan.

Managing Your Data Usage
  1. My Verizon and the My Verizon app can help you determine how much data you might need. You can view past bills online or from your device.

Should you find that you need more or less data than your MORE Everything Plan provides, you can change your plan at any time in My Verizon. However, certain promotional data plan prices will not be available to switch back to.

  2. We have several ways to monitor and manage your data:

    • My Verizon: Monitor your unbilled monthly data usage from the My Usage page.

    • My Verizon app Data Hub

    • Usage Alerts: Set up usage alerts in My Verizon to send a notification when you're reaching your data limit. To set up a data alert:
    1. Go to the Usage Alerts page in My Verizon.

    2. Under the When to Alert section, scroll down to Data and select the alerts you'd like to receive.

Note: A check mark above a percentage amount indicates the alert has been turned on for that usage amount.

    3. Click Save All Alerts.

You've successfully set up data usage alerts.

Should you find that you need more or less data than your MORE Everything Plan provides, you can change your plan at any time in My Verizon. However, certain promotional data plan prices will not be available to switch back to.

  3. There are various ways to check your data usage both online and on your device.

    Ways to Check Data Usage
    Method Details
    Online
    • For a quick summary, refer to the usage meters in the My Plan section of the My Verizon Home page.

    • For more detailed information, go to the My Usage page in My Verizon and click the Data tab.
Call from your device Call #DATA (#3282) from your mobile phone. A text message containing your data usage details will be sent to you.

The My Verizon app (Android® and iOS)
    1. Open the My Verizon app.
    2. Tap the 3-line navigation menu in the top left of your device screen.
    3. Tap Data Hub to view the data usage for each line on your account.

  4. For a quick summary of your daily charges:

    1. Go to the My Bill page in My Verizon.

    2. Click the Calls, Messages & Data tab.

    3. Click Data.

You'll see the data usage for your last bill cycle. You can see a summary of your data usage in KB, MB or GB.

  5. The MORE Everything Plan is no longer available to sign up for. Existing customers with The MORE Everything Plan can keep the plan, add new devices, upgrade devices and change data allowances. You can sign up for the new Verizon Plan if you're starting a new account.

If your data usage falls between two options, it may be a better value to sign up for the larger allowance. Should you find that you need more or less data, you can change your allowance at any time in My Verizon.

  6. If you connect your device to the internet through a Wi-Fi connection, the data transmitted doesn't consume data from your monthly data allowance. Most smartphones and tablets can be configured to search for open Wi-Fi hotspots and, depending on your settings, automatically connect.

Note: Wi-Fi hotspots generally don't include over-the-air encryption to protect your data from observation from other users. As such, we recommend that you always use a firewall on your computer and have current anti-virus software to protect your computer from possible infection or attack. Using Wi-Fi can also deplete your battery faster than using a Verizon Wireless network connection.

Employee Discounts
  1. General discount qualifications, unless otherwise noted, apply to plan monthly access fees of $34.99 or higher, and data features of $24.99 or higher, when added to a plan of $34.99 or higher. On plans with separate account and line fees, discounts apply only to the Account Access fees. Prepaid, already discounted, data-only and promotional plans are not eligible for discounts through this program.

For more information on employee discounts, see our Discounts & Validation FAQs.

  2. Android is a trademark of Google, Inc.
iOS is a trademark or registered trademark of Cisco in the US and other countries and is used under license.
