Setting up Your Account with International Service
To place an international long distance call from the United States while in the Verizon Wireless network to an international destination, you may need to add an international services bundle to your active account. You can add this service if your account is in good standing. Some plans may already have International Services enabled and any international calls will be charged according to your plan. If your account situation changes, we may remove this service from your account without notice.
International Long Distance
You need International Services enabled to make international calls to most countries from the US, but you can make calls to Mexico and Canada when you are on certain plans. Please see the details on the rates and instructions dropdown menu for pricing, and other plan details related to calling international destinations from the US. Please note, additional surcharges apply when calling certain countries. Verizon reserves the right to temporarily block calls to any country without notice.
Rates and included countries are subject to change. Applicable international long distance per minute charges are in addition to domestic roaming rates. International Long Distance service is for direct communications between 2 people; certain numbers (e.g. conference and chat lines, premium numbers, etc.) are not included and may be blocked.

Unlimited calls to Mexico and Canada are included in the Prepaid 15 GB and Prepaid Unlimited plans. Please check your plan for more information. International Text, Picture and Video Messaging
Your account is automatically enabled to send messages to more than 200 countries.
International Text, Picture, and Video messaging is included in certain domestic plans. Please check your plan for more information.
International text messaging is widely supported, but international picture and video messaging is only available with select carriers. Not all international carriers support texts that originate from the US.
