General Information

  1. Can I buy Samsung Galaxy Watch as an accessory or does it require service?

The Samsung Galaxy Watch must be connected to a line with a compatible 4G LTE Android™ smartphone at the time of purchase. It cannot be bought as a standalone accessory from Verizon. This is because the Samsung Galaxy Watch will only work in NumberShare mode unlike previous Samsung smartwatches.

NumberShare is a service that lets you use your mobile number on up to 5 connected devices. You can send and receive calls and messages on whatever device is at hand, even if you're away from your phone.

Visit our NumberShare FAQs to learn more.

  2. What devices are compatible with Samsung Galaxy Watch?

The Samsung Galaxy Watch can be paired with an eligible Android smartphone running Android 5.0 or higher & RAM 1.5GB above.

  3. Will Samsung Gear S3 bands fit a Samsung Galaxy Watch?

Samsung Gear S3 bands will fit only on the Samsung Galaxy Watch Silver 46mm version. They will not fit on other versions of the Samsung Galaxy Watch.

  4. Can I buy Samsung Galaxy Watch from Verizon and set it up later?

Yes. Samsung Galaxy Watch is ready to be activated at the time of purchase by adding a NumberShare service plan. You can pair it with Bluetooth® to your compatible Android smartphone and follow the on-screen set up instructions at any time.

  5. I paired my Samsung Galaxy Watch before activating it. How can I activate it on the Verizon mobile network?

If you paired your Samsung Galaxy Watch via Bluetooth before activating it, follow these steps to activate the mobile network:

    1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your Android smartphone.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap Mobile networks.
    4. Follow the instructions to learn more about service plan and activate the mobile network on your Samsung Galaxy Watch

Note: It could take up to 45 seconds before the Samsung Galaxy Watch can connect to the Verizon Wireless 4G network once it disconnects from your smartphone.
