How to set up payment arrangements

If you can't pay your bill on time you can set up a payment arrangement. You can choose to schedule a future payment or set up a promise to pay. Plus you can do it online or with the My Verizon app. A $7 Agent Assistance Fee will be charged for any payment arrangement made with a Customer Service Representative over the phone.

Note: You must be an Account Owner or Account Manager to set up a payment arrangement.

Set up a payment arrangement in the My Verizon app

    Depending on your eligibility, you can have up to two future dated payments or promises to pay set up at any one time when using the My Verizon app

     

    If your payment information is saved:
    1. Open the My Verizon app.
    2. Tap the Menu icon in the top left and select Bill.
    3. Tap Payment Options.
    4. At the Select Payment Method screen, swipe until you reach your desired payment method. Then tap Continue.

      Note: If eligible, you can schedule two payment arrangements by checking the "Make a split payment" box, then selecting the payment method for each payment arrangement.
    5. Enter the details of your payment, including the amount you want to pay and the date you want to pay.
    6. Tap Make payment.
    7. Review your payment details and tap Finish.

    You've successfully scheduled a promise to pay.

    If your payment information isn't saved:
    1. Open the My Verizon app.
    2. Tap the Menu icon in the top left and select Bill.
    3. Tap Payment Options.
    4. At the Select Payment Method screen, swipe until you reach Add a new payment method. Then tap Continue.

      Note: If eligible, you can schedule two payment arrangements by checking the "Make a split payment" box, then selecting the payment method for each payment arrangement.
    5. ;Enter the details of your payment, including the amount you want to pay and the date you want to pay.

      Note: If you'd like to save this payment method for future use, check Save to account at the bottom of the screen.
    6. Enter the details of your payment, including the amount you want to pay and the date you want to pay
    7. Tap Make payment.
    8. Review your payment details and tap Finish.

    You've successfully scheduled a promise to pay.

    If you need to edit or cancel a payment arrangement you have scheduled:
    1. Open the My Verizon app.
    2. Tap the Menu icon in the top left and select Bill.
    3. Tap Manage payment arrangement.
    4. Choose whether to edit or cancel a payment arrangement:
      1. Tap Edit to make changes to the payment method of one or both of your payment arrangements.

        Note: If you'd like to change the payment date or amount, you'll need to cancel the entire arrangement.
      2. Tap Cancel entire arrangement to cancel the payment arrangements you have scheduled.  Choosing this option will cancel all the payment arrangements on your account.

        Note: Not all customers will be eligible to cancel their payment arrangement.

Set up a payment arrangement Online through My Verizon

    You can schedule one promise to pay arrangement when scheduling online through My Verizon. 

     

    Schedule a Promise to Pay
    1. Go to the Make a payment arrangement page on your smartphone, tablet or computer.
    2. Select Schedule a promise to pay.
    3. Select Total amount due to pay the whole bill or select Other Amount and enter a payment amount.
    4. Enter a Payment date.
    5. Tap or click Continue.
    6. Review your payment arrangement and tap or click Make a promise to pay.

    You have successfully set up a promise to pay arrangement.

    Note: Eligibility requirements may make promise to pay options unavailable (e.g., your account is paid in full). If you aren't eligible, details explaining why will display.

    Schedule a future-dated payment arrangement
    1. Go to the Make a payment arrangement page on your smartphone, tablet or computer.
    2. Choose whether you want to pay with a saved checking account or enter a new checking account.
      • Saved checking account: Select the account from the dropdown.
      • New checking account: Enter the routing number and account number.
    3. Select a payment date.
    4. If this is a new checking account and you want to save it for future payments, select the Save for future payment box. You'll be able to choose this account from the dropdown next time you make a payment.
    5. Tap or click Continue.
    6. Review the payment arrangement information and tap or click Schedule Payment.

    You've successfully scheduled a payment.
