Verizon Protect Multi-Device is comprehensive coverage for your account and the best value. It offers device protection, security and technical support for your digital lifestyle. It covers not only your devices, but also protects your personal data and helps you manage your calls.

However, we also offer Total Mobile Protection Multi-Device, which gives you coverage for any 3 eligible lines on your account for a single monthly fee, instead of purchasing Total Mobile Protection for each device separately. You can also purchase coverage for up to 7 additional lines on your account.

With Total Mobile Protection Multi-Device, you get:

Benefits of Total Mobile Protection Multi-Device

Enrolling in coverage for your account may be better than coverage for individual devices because:

  • You can file a claim for any eligible line on your account (up to 3 lines). You don't need to select which line you want covered until something happens. Once you file a claim on a line, that line is enrolled in the program. But you'll still have 2 more slots available that you can use for any other line on your account.

  • You can get additional coverage for up to 7 more lines for just $11/month per line. Once you fill all 3 initial registration slots, you can add more registration slots if you have additional lines on your account.

  • You get US-based Tech Coach support for all devices on your account. If you sign up your device individually, you'll only have Tech Coach support for that device.

  • You have a pool of shared claims to use. If you cover your devices individually, you get 3 claims per device in 12 months, and those claims can only be used for that line. With Total Mobile Protection Multi-Device, you get a total of 9 shared claims in 12 months that you can use for any of your 3 registered lines. If you want to file 9 claims on the same line, you can.

    If you purchase additional registration slots, you get 3 additional shared claims per slot (e.g., if you have 5 slots, you can file up to 15 claims in 12 months).

To be eligible for Total Mobile Protection Multi-Device, you must have 3 - 10 lines with eligible devices on your account and enroll within 30 days of one of the following:

  • Purchase a new device and activate it on a new or existing line
  • Bring your own device that meets the following criteria:
    • Is fully functioning, without damage (including cracked screens) and free of defects
    • Isn't lost or stolen
    • Is activated on a new line (not an existing line)

You can also enroll during an open enrollment period. Open enrollments aren't guaranteed.

You can check your eligibility in My Verizon. If Total Mobile Protection Multi-Device is listed under the Get Products tab, you're eligible to enroll.

Note: If you're bringing your own device, you can check device compatibility before signing up for a new line of service.


Total Mobile Protection Multi-Device costs $45/month for 3 lines on your account. If you have more than 3 lines, you can purchase additional coverage for up to 7 more lines for $11/month per line.

Additional Program Details

Cracked-screen repairs don't count against the 12-month claim limit. You have a device replacement maximum of $400 or $2,000 per claim, depending on device type.

Asurion may fulfill claims with new or refurbished devices. In general, Asurion will try to provide you with a replacement device that is the same color and has the same features. If the same make and model isn’t available, a similar make and model will be substituted. Color, feature and accessory compatibility aren't guaranteed.

Devices with manufacturer's defects will be replaced with a new or Certified Like-New Replacement of the same or comparable model. Florida residents: Manufacturer's defect claims will be handled through Asurion and fulfilled with new or refurbished devices.

You can cancel your coverage at any time and receive a prorated refund of your monthly fee.
