Verizon Wireless Home Phone T2000 Software Update

Verizon Wireless is pleased to announce a software update for your device. This software update has been tested to optimize device performance, resolve known issues, and apply the latest security patches.

Before you download:

  • Make sure your device has a strong Verizon Wireless network connection.
  • Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.

Software Version: 1.5.4.001

This software update provides the following improvements for your T2000 device :

  • Number port failures: Addressed the issue that required the customer to power cycle multiple times or hard reset the device when porting the number to Wireless Home Phone
  • Audio drop/gap issue: Addressed the issue that was causing the device to temporarily lose audio feed.
  • Temporary loss of service issue: Addressed the issue that was causing the device to temporarily disconnect from the network.

This software update for your T2000 provides the following device improvements and bug fixes:

  • Caller Name ID: Added support for Caller Name ID. Caller name ID displays on the connected phone, but not on the T2000 display.
  • E911: Fixed E911 calls not working properly with a deactivated SIM card or no SIM card.
  • No Audio: Addressed issue where the device had no audio.
  • Software update: Addressed the issue that prevented the device from processing a software update.
  • Intermittent disconnect: Addressed issues that were causing the device to disconnect from the network, and not reconnect.

The first software update for your T2000 provides the following device improvements:

  • Alarm Panel Support: The T2000 now supports alarm panels connected through the yellow RJ31 phone port, using CID and SIA protocols. Confirm compatibility with your security system provider.
  • E911: Fixes issue that created a false call to 911 dispatchers when 911 was contained in another number, such as a conference call code.
  • MDN (Mobile Data Number) Change: The user interface now correctly updates the MDN when a new MDN is assigned.
