INDYCAR recently announced a multi-year agreement with Verizon, naming America’s premier open-wheel racing championship the Verizon IndyCar Series. As the season ramps up, Verizon has also launched the newest version of its popular IndyCar app, INDYCAR 14 (available on Android and iOS). With special features available exclusively to Verizon Wireless customers, it provides the total package for IndyCar enthusiasts.

The app takes the IndyCar experience to the next level for Verizon Wireless customers: INDYCAR 14 puts fans inside the race action with live, in-car video streaming for select drivers and live audio streaming of drivers and pit crews during the races. The mosaic screen feature helps users keep track of four live IndyCar races at once with a 4-in-1 view – users can also follow their favorite drivers with a real-time leaderboard. The app includes access to live race control center video, a trackmap with real-time car position, and live radio broadcast streaming during all track activities.

In addition, there are a number of features available to all users. New to this year’s version of the app is the Race Weekend Concierge, which gives fans all the tools needed to plan their perfect IndyCar race weekend. App users can get real-time updates to track schedules, track maps, and even details about events in the IndyCar Fan Villages at each race.

Other universal features include:

  • Favorite driver and team selection to easily follow the races
  • Exclusive video-on-demand of race highlights, driver interviews, INDYCAR 101, INDYCAR 36, virtual laps and historical race footage
  • Breaking news and photos
  • Standings, race results and schedule

  • Driver profiles and driver, team and INDYCAR Twitter feeds
  • Official rule book
