Soft Reset - Samsung Galaxy Note® 4

A soft reset can resolve issues like continuous resetting/rebooting, device crashing, freezing, won't ring or vibrate, can't make or receive calls, device locks up, and keypad doesn't respond.

Note A soft reset is similar to restarting a desktop computer and is often one of the first steps in troubleshooting a device. In most cases, a soft reset won't affect data on the device unless the battery is very low.

  1. Press and hold the Power button (located on the upper-right edge) until the Phone options prompt appears.
  2. Tap Restart.
  3. When prompted with 'The device will restart', tap OK.
Note If unable to perform a soft reset, remove then re-insert the battery.
