Verizon Jetpack® 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi® 6620L - Restore Settings to Factory Defaults

If your Jetpack powers off on its own, crashes and resets, freezes, won't charge or runs slow, view this info.

Caution Restore Settings to Factory Defaults only if absolutely necessary as it:

  • Removes all modified settings including Network Name (SSID), Wi-Fi/Admin Password, etc.
  • Restores the default settings viewable on the external LED of the device.

  1. Ensure the device is powered on.
  2. Remove the battery cover from the bottom of the device.
    Note Utilizing the provided slot, carefully lift then detach the cover.

  3. Using a paperclip (or similar tool), press and hold the Reset button (located down inside the square opening labled RESET) until "MiFi Restarting" or "MiFi Resetting" appears on the display, then release.

  4. Replace the battery cover.
    Note After restoring to factory defaults, ensure Power Management Settings are set to the preferred options.

Note Alternatively, a restore can also be done as follows:

  1. Access the Admin Web Interface.
  2. From the left menu, click Jetpack Settings.
  3. From the Jetpack tab, click Backup and Restore.
  4. From the Restore to Factory Defaults section, click Restore Factory Defaults.
  5. Click Confirm.
    Note After restoring to factory defaults, ensure Power Management Settings are set to the preferred options.
