Configure Broadcast Settings - Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot - Verizon Jetpack® 4G LTE Mi-Fi® 890L

If you are experiencing connectivity issues with your Mobile Hotspot or your device isn't found, check out the steps below.

On the Device

 

Admin Page

  1. Access the Verizon Wireless MiFi Personal Hotspot page.
    Note Launch a web browser then navigate to 192.168.1.1 or http://vz.hotspot.
    Note Refer to Connecting to a Wi-Fi network for additional assistance. Select the appropriate option:
    Macintosh OS X
    Windows 7
    Windows Vista
    Windows XP
  2. Enter the password then click Login.
    Note The default password is located on a sticker on the back of the device.
  3. Click Wi-Fi Settings.
  4. From the Wi-Fi Settings tab, click Basic.
  5. Adjust the broadcast channel as desired then click Apply (at the bottom left).
    • Automatic (default setting) is recommended.
    • Select an alternate channel (e.g., 1-11).

On the Device

  1. From the main screen of the device, select the Settings icon then tap OK.
  2. Select Wi-Fi then tap OK.
  3. Select Proceed then tap OK.
  4. Select Channel then tap OK.
  5. Adjust the broadcast channel as desired then click OK.
    • Automatic (default setting) is recommended.
    • Select an alternate channel (e.g., 1-11).
  6. Select back then tap OK.
