Manually Add a Wi-Fi Network - Samsung Galaxy Tab® 4 (8.0)

Note Wi-Fi network info is required to complete several steps. Refer to the network administrator for additional assistance.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Wireless and Networks section, tap Wi-Fi.
    Note To show Wi-Fi availability when opening apps, tap (check) Show Wi-Fi pop-up (located at the top).
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch (located in the upper right) is turned on On indicator.
  4. Tap Add Wi-Fi Network (located below list of available networks).
  5. From the Network SSID field, enter the appropriate name.
  6. From the Security field, tap the Dropdown menu Dropdown menu icon (located to the right).
  7. Tap one of the following security options:
    Note If using an Open network (None), skip to step 9.
    • None
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2 PSK
    • 802.1x EAP
  8. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password.
    Note To view the password as it is being entered, tap (check) Show password.
  9. Ensure additional settings (e.g., EAP method, Phase 2 authentication, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap Save.
