Manage Screen Lock Settings - Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

Note Depending upon screen lock type (Swipe, Pattern, etc.) the available options may vary.

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Apps icon (located in the lower-right).
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Settings Settings icon.
  3. From the DEVICE section, tap Lock screen.
  4. Tap Show information to configure what information to show on the lock screen.
  5. Tap the Show information switch (located in the upper right) to turn on Switch On icon or off Switch Off icon.
    Note With Show information switch set to on Switch On icon, select from the following to enable/disable/modify:
    • Show clock and date
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Dual clock
      Note Enabled when set to on.
    • Clock size
      Note To adjust clock size:
      1. Select one of the following:
        • Small
        • Normal
        • Large
      2. Tap Done (located in the upper right).
    • Owner information
      Note To configure owner information:
      1. From the ADDITIONAL INFORMATION section, tap Owner information.
      2. Enter text to show on lock screen.
      3. Tap OK.
  6. Tap Pattern type and select one of the following then tap Done (located in the upper right):
    Note Available when Pattern is enabled.
    • Classic
    • Halftone
    • Morphing
    • Multicolor
  7. Tap Unlock effect and select one of the following then tap Save (located in the upper right):
    Note Available when Swipe is enabled.
    • None
    • Abstract tiles
    • Popping colors
    • Watercolor
    • Ripple
  8. Tap Make pattern visible to enable or disable.
    Note Available when Pattern is enabled.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  9. Tap Vibration feedback to enable or disable.
    Note Available when Pattern is enabled.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  10. Tap Lock automatically then select one of the following:
    • Immediately
    • 5 seconds
    • 15 seconds
    • 30 seconds
    • 1 minute
    • 2 minutes
    • 5 minutes
    • 10 minutes
    • 30 minutes
  11. Tap Lock instantly with power key to enable or disable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  12. Tap Auto factory reset to enable or disable.
    Note Fifteen incorrect entries of the device password resets the device to factory default condition. All data including Google Account, app data and settings, downloaded apps, etc. is removed. If necessary, perform Initial Activation/Setup.
    Note Available when Password is enabled.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
