A virtual private network (VPN) encrypts your internet traffic and protects your online identity via a secured remote server and is most commonly used when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.).
From a Home screen, navigate: Apps > Settings > More.
If presented with a lock screen notification, tap OK.
Refer to Change the Device Password (Pattern, PIN or Password) for assistance.
Choose between Basic VPN and Advanced IPsec VPN.
The procedures that follow are for setting up a Basic VPN.
Tap Add VPN.
From the 'Name' field, enter the appropriate name.
Contact the VPN administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.
From the 'Type' field, tap the Dropdown menu (right) then select the VPN type:
IPSec Xauth PSK
IPSec Xauth RSA
IPSec Hybrid RSA
IPSec IKEv2 PSK
IPSec IKEv2 RSA
Enter the required information into the applicable fields then tap Save (lower right).
