View Signal Strength - Pantech UML290 4G USB Modem

From the VZAccess Manager main screen, locate the signal strength indicator (located to the right of the available networks).
Note If the device is experiencing low or no signal strength, ensure the antenna is fully extended and perpendicular to the computer. If signal strength does not improve, move the device to a location where it receives a stronger signal.

Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) / Signal to Noise Ratio (SINR)

  1. From the Top menu, navigate: Help > About VZAccess Manager.
Note From the Minimum view, navigate: Menu > Help > WWAN Device Info.
  2. Verify the RSSI and the LTE SINR. For a reliable connection,
WWAN Device Info screen, RSSI / LTE SINR
    • The RSSI should be greater than -58 dBm (e.g. -32 dBm). A value of -96 dBm indicates no signal. If the signal is between -82 dBm and -96 dBm, move the device to an alternate location (an outdoor location is preferable).
    • The LTE SINR should be greater than 12.5. The connection may drop to a 3G network with an SINR value of -6, resulting in slow speeds.
