Samsung Galaxy Tab E (8.0) - Reset All Settings

Restoring your device to default settings helps when the device crashes and resets itself or when apps freeze/hang or reset the device.

Caution Performing these steps resets all system settings (e.g., ringtones, sound settings, display settings, etc.) back to their default values. Personal data, such as downloaded apps and media (pictures, videos, music), aren't affected.

Note Here's how to check what software version your device is running.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
Note These instructions only apply to the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > General management > Reset.
Note For software version 7.1.1 or earlier, navigate: Settings > Backup and reset.
  3. From the Reset section, tap Reset settings.
  4. Review the info then tap RESET SETTINGS.
Note If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
