Turn App Permissions On / Off - Samsung Galaxy Note® Edge

Note Notes:

  • Downloaded apps designed for Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and up only ask for permission the first time you use a feature rather than asking for permissions out of context.
  • Turning off certain permissions may result in basic features no longer working as intended.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Applications (Device section).
Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Application manager.
  3. Tap the Menu icon Menu (located in the upper-right) > Show system apps.
  4. Locate then select the appropriate app.
  5. If available, tap Permissions.
  6. Select available permissions (e.g., Camera, Contacts, Location, etc.) to turn on Switch On icon or off Switch Off icon.
Note If prompted, review the message then tap CANCEL or DENY.
