To change the data usage cycle on your device, view data usage and set data warnings and restrictions, view this info.

Caution Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon Wireless, refer to the My Verizon website.

From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Data usage Data usage settings.

Set Cellular Data Limit

Caution Mobile data (cellular data) is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependent upon a data connection (e.g., Browser, Email, Market, etc.), a Wi-Fi connection can be used or Mobile data must be manually re-enabled (overage charges may apply).

  1. Tap Cellular data usage.
  2. From Cellular data usage, tap the Settings icon Settings icon.
  3. Tap Set data limit to turn on Switch on.
  4. If presented with Limiting data usage screen, review the message then tap OK.
  5. Tap Data limit.
  6. Enter the preferred data usage limit then tap SET.

Set Cellular Data Warning

Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the black warning line.

  1. Tap Alert me about data usage to turn on Switch on.
  2. If presented with "Data usage alert" screen, review the message then tap OK.
  3. Touch and hold the Black warning line.
  4. Drag the line to the preferred level (e.g., 5.0GB) then release.

Change Data Usage Cycle

  1. From the Data usage cycle field, tap the Dropdown menu Drop down menu icon.
  2. Tap Change cycle.
  3. From the "Usage cycle reset date" prompt, select the cycle date then tap Set.
    Note Refer to the My Verizon website for billing cycle date.

View Data Usage by App

  1. Tap an app (below the usage graph).
  2. View the usage info.
