Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 - Add a User Account

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Device section, tap Users.
  3. Tap Add user or profile.
  4. From the ADD prompt, tap one of the following:
    • User
      Note Allow users to access their own apps and content.
    • User (restricted profile)
      Note Allows users limited access to apps and content.
  5. Make sure "Allow mobile data usage" is enabled.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  6. Tap OK.
  7. Tap SET UP NOW.
  8. Swipe the screen to unlock.
  9. On the "Welcome" screen, tap NEXT.
  10. Tap from the Wi-Fi list to connect to Wi-Fi then tap NEXT.
    Note Tap SKIP to join with a Wi-Fi network at a later time.
  11. User account is set up (may take up to 2 minutes)
  12. On the "Add your account" screen, enter email info or tap create a new account to set up a Google account then tap NEXT.
    Note Tap SKIP to set up email at a later time.
  13. To continue, review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy then tap ACCEPT.
  14. From the "Google services" screen, tap NEXT.
  15. On the "Set up payment info" screen, tap No thanks then tap CONTINUE.
  16. From the "Email setup" screen, select your email account or ADD OTHER ACCOUNT to set up an email account.
    Note Tap SKIP to set up an email account at a later time.
  17. Tap DONE.
  18. On the "Samsung account" screen, tap SKIP.

Existing Google Account

  1. Enter the following information then tap Next Next arrow (located on the right).
    • Email
    • Password
  2. After review of the Google Terms of Service / Google Play Terms of Service / Privacy Policy, tap Accept to continue.
  3. If presented with a Set up payment info screen, tap Remind me later then tap Next.
    Note Enable purchases can be resumed by navigating Apps > Play Store from a home screen, tap a paid app then tap Add payment method.
  4. From the Google services screen, enable or disable the following settings then tap Next:
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Use Google's location service: located under LOCATION section.
    • Help improve location services: lets apps scan for Wi-Fi networks, even when Wi-Fi is off (located under LOCATION section).
    • Help improve your Android experience: sends diagnostic and usage data to Google.
  5. From the Setup Wizard screen, tap Done (located at the bottom right).
  6. From the Samsung account screen, select from the following:
    • Create with Google ID
    • Create Account
    • Sign In
    • Skip

Create a New Google Account

  1. Tap Create a new account.
  2. Enter the appropriate name into the following fields then tap Next (located on the right):
    • First
    • Last
  3. Enter the desired username into the following field then tap Next.
    • Email
  4. Enter a password into the following fields then tap Next.
    Note The password must be at least 8 characters.
    • Password
    • Re-type password
  5. Confirm the phone number is correct then tap Next to set up a recovery phone number or Skip to skip recovery.
    Note If "Not now" is selected, password recovery can be set up anytime by visiting the mail.google.com website.
  6. From the Verify your number screen, confirm the number is correct then tap Verify.
  7. From the Enter the code screen, enter the verification code sent to the device then tap Next.
  8. Review the Privacy and Terms then tap I Agree.
  9. On the Your Google Account summary screen tap Next.
  10. If presented with an Set up payment info screen, tap Remind me later then tap Next.
