Network Mode Settings - Verizon Jetpack® MiFi® 7730L

Caution Changing advanced settings may be harmful to the stability, performance, and security of the Jetpack. Contact your local IT administrator prior to altering any of these settings.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Menu (located in the lower-left).
    Note If necessary, press the Power button (located on the top-right edge) to turn on the display.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network Technology.
  4. Select the appropriate setting:
    Note Selected when a green dot is present.
    Global
    This is the preferred setting for most locations and should only be changed if experiencing service issues.
    LTE/CDMA
    This setting should only be selected if experiencing service issues in locations that offer multiple network types and only LTE/CDMA is needed.
    LTE/GSM/UMTS
    This setting should only be selected if experiencing service issues in locations that offer multiple network types and only LTE/GSM/UMTS is needed.
    Note The preferred international carrier is automatically selected.
    Note You can manually select an alternate carrier but it may require as many as 6 registration attempts with that carrier prior to successful registration.
  5. If prompted, tap Confirm.

 

Note You can also change network mode settings info via the Admin Web Interface by navigating: Jetpack Settings > Advanced tab > Continue then editing the Preferred network technology dropdown menu.
