Restart / Soft Reset - Samsung Gear S3 frontier / Gear S3 classic

A soft reset can resolve issues like continuous resetting, rebooting, device crashing, freezing, won't ring or vibrate, can't make or receive calls, device locks up and screen doesn't respond.

Note Notes:

  • A soft reset (turning the device off then back on) is similar to restarting a desktop computer and is one of the first steps in troubleshooting a device. In most cases, a soft reset won't affect data on the device unless the battery is very low.

  1. From the watch screen, press the Home button until the options menu appears, then release.

  2. From the options screen, tap Power off.
  3. Once the device is off, press and hold the Power button until the Samsung Gear S3 logo appears, then release.
