ASUS ZenFone™ AR - Common Camera Settings

Note For additional info on camera settings, refer to the Your precious moments section of the user guide.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Camera icon Camera Icon (at the bottom).
  2. Select an option: Select a Camera Option

Auto Focus

Tap Auto Focus Auto Focus to allow the camera to focus the image automatically.



Tap the Flash icon Tap Flash to select an option:

  • Turn the flash on
  • Turn the flash off
  • Set the flash for Auto.


Front or Rear Facing Camera

Tap the Camera Facing icon Tap the Camera Facing Icon to determine which camera to use:

  • Rear facing camera
  • Front facing camera


HDR Auto

Tap HDR Auto Tap HDR Auto to turn on or off.
Note HDR (High Dynamic Range) - Combines photos or videos taken at different exposures for one optimal photo or video.


Adjust Additional Settings

  1. Tap Settings Tap Additional Settings.
  2. Select an option:
    • Image
      • White balance
      • ISO
      • Exposure value
      • Optimization
      • Camera resolution
      • Image quality
    • Shooting mode
      • Touch shutter
      • Self timer
    • Focus & exposure
      • Focus mode
      • Metering mode
      • Touch auto-exposure
      • Face detection
    • Video - Image, Focus & Exposure, etc.
    • Other - Display
    • Miscellaneous - Camera sound, Location services, etc.



Tap the Gallery thumbnail Camera Gallery Icon to view the last picture taken.


Manual / Auto

The Manual option Camera Manual Auto Icon allows the user to control all settings; Auto controls most automatically.


Take Photos

Tap the Camera shutter icon Camera Take Photo Icon to take a picture.


Record Video

Tap the Record icon Camera Record Icon to record video.

Tap the Advanced Settings icon Advanced Settings Icon then select an option:

Tap the Low Light icon Camera Low Light Icon to take pictures in low light situations.
