Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+ - Uninstall Apps

Note Notes:

  • Apps included with the Android operating system may not have an uninstall option.
  • If uninstalling an app update, ensure that auto-update is disabled for the specified app until the issue is resolved with the developer.

 

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Apps.
  3. Ensure All is selected (upper-left).
    Note If necessary, tap the Dropdown icon Dropdown icon (upper-left) then select All.
  4. Locate then select the appropriate app.
    Note If system apps aren't visible, tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-right) > Show system apps.
  5. Perform one of the following:
  • To uninstall the app:
    1. Tap Uninstall.
    2. To confirm, tap OK.
  • To uninstall app updates:
    Note This option is only available when an update has been installed.
    1. Tap Uninstall Updates.
    2. To confirm, tap OK.
