Remove Saved Fingerprints - Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+

Note Notes:

  • A fingerprint is utilized to unlock the device.
  • For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and free of moisture, dirt, oil, lotion, dyes, etc.
  • Up to four fingerprints can be registered on the device.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Lock screen and security.
  3. From the Biometrics section, tap Fingerprint Scanner.
    Note If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  4. From the Manage fingerprints section, tap EDIT (upper-right).
  5. Select the fingerprint(s) to remove.
    Note Selected when a check mark is present.
    Note To select all fingerprints, tap All (upper-left).
  6. Tap REMOVE (upper-right).
  7. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap REMOVE.
