moto e5 play - Enable / Disable App

Some apps that come pre-installed (e.g., calculator, Google Play™ Store, Verizon Cloud, Call Filter, etc.) on your Android™ device can't be uninstalled; however, they can be disabled (turned off) so they don't appear in the list of apps on your device.

Note The option to enable or disable an app may only be available for apps that can't be uninstalled.

Enable an App

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Apps & notifications Apps & notification icon.
  3. Tap All apps.
  4. Tap the appropriate app
  5. Tap ENABLE.

Disable an App

Caution Disabling an app may cause related apps to function improperly.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Apps & notifications Apps & notification icon.
  3. Tap the appropriate app.
  4. Tap Disable.
    Note If the Disable option isn't available, navigate: Force stop > OK.
  5. Tap DISABLE.
  6. Tap DISABLE APP to confirm.
