Wi-Fi Calling settings don't transfer after switching devices and/or performing a factory data reset. You need to enable Wi-Fi Calling manually if you want to use it.
If powered off, press and hold the Power button (right edge of the device) until the Motorola logo appears then release.
From the 'Welcome' screen, select the appropriate language then tap LET'S GO.
From the 'Phone Activation' screen, tap NEXT or tap ACTIVATE (if available).
If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off and allow several minutes for the deactivation of the old phone to complete.
From the Welcome screen tap an option:

Data can also be transferred at a later time.
Set up as new
From the 'Connect to Wi-Fi' screen, select a Wi-Fi connection or tap SKIP.
From the 'Sign in' screen, tap SKIP > SKIP.
Enter your name then tap NEXT.
From the 'Unlock with fingerprint' screen, tap SKIP > SKIP ANYWAY.
Once setup is complete, refer to Set Up Screen Lock.
From the 'Google services' screen, tap any of the following services to enable or disable, then tap MORE > AGREE.
By tapping AGREE you're agreeing to the Google Terms of Service.

From the 'Verizon Cloud screen', tap SKIP then tap NOT NOW.
This step does not apply to prepaid devices.
From the 'Email Accounts' screen, tap SKIP.
To add Email accounts after initial setup, from a Home screen navigate: Apps > Settings > Accounts > Add Account.
From the 'About your privacy' screen tap ACCEPT AND CONTINUE to use current settings or tap Privacy settings to make changes.
