Samsung Galaxy Note9 - Adjust Display Settings

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Display.
  3. Tap the switch for any of the following to turn on Switch on or off Switch off:
    Note If necessary, tap each option to configure additional settings.
    • Blue light filter
    • LED indicator
    • Block accidental touches
    • Screen saver
  4. Tap Screen mode then select an option (e.g., Adaptive display, Basic, etc.)
  5. Tap Screen resolution, select an option (HD+ 1480x720, FHD+ 2220x1080 or WQHD 2960x1440) then tap DONE (upper-right).
  6. Tap Icon frames, select an option (Icons only, Icon with frames) then tap DONE (upper-right).
  7. Tap Edge screen then configure any of the following:
    • Edge panels
      Note Tap the switch to turn on or off.
    • Edge lighting
      Note Tap the switch to turn on or off.
  8. Tap Status bar then tap the following to turn on or off:
    • Show recent notifications only
    • Show battery percentage
  9. Tap the back arrow icon Switch on (lower-right) to return to the Display screen.
  10. Tap Navigation bar then configure any of the following:
    • Show and hide button
      Note Tap the switch to turn on or off.
    • Background color
    • Hard press Home button
      Note Tap the switch to turn on or off.
    • Unlock with Home button
      Note Tap the switch to turn on or off.
    • Button layout
  11. Tap the back arrow icon to return to the Display screen.
  12. Tap Screen timeout then select an option (e.g., 15 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, etc.)
