Google Pixel 3 - Add / Remove Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to set up and manage fingerprint recognition to unlock your Pixel 3 / 3 XL.
For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and moisture-free.
  2. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security

  3. Tap
    Pixel Imprint
    .
  4. From the 'Unlock with Pixel Imprint' screen, tap
    Next

    If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  5. Perform one of the following:
    • First Time Setup
      1. From the 'Unlock selection' screen, choose an option to use as a backup screen lock (e.g., Pixel Imprint + Pattern, etc.) then follow the instructions to set up the backup screen lock.
      2. From the 'Touch the sensor' screen, place your finger on the sensor until it vibrates then lift.
      3. From the 'Lift, then touch again' screen, continue pressing the sensor several times until it shows completed.
      4. Tap
        Done

    • Add More Fingerprints
      1. Tap
        Add fingerprint
        .
        Up to 5 fingerprints can be registered on the device.
      2. From the 'Touch the sensor' screen, place your finger on the sensor until it vibrates then lift.
      3. From the 'Lift, then touch again' screen, continue pressing the sensor several times until it shows completed.
      4. Tap 'Done' if finished or 'Add fingerprint' to continue adding fingerprints.
    • Remove Fingerprints
      1. Locate the fingerprint then tap the
        Trashcan icon
         Trashcan icon next to it.
      2. Tap
