Advanced Messaging - Samsung - Group Chat Messages

NotesNotes:

  • Advanced Messaging (RCS) requires the most recent software version to access new features and capabilities.
  • Advanced Messaging is only available with other devices of the same make and model (Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+) on the Verizon Network. There is no cross carrier capability at this time.
  • The device must be in a Verizon wireless coverage area to send or receive chat messages.

Notes Notes:

  • Chat messages sent to a group will be delivered to all recipients.
  • If non-chat enabled participants are selected, the message default to SMS/MMS.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Tap Messages Messages icon.
  3. From the Inbox, tap the New message icon New message icon (lower-right).
  4. From the 'New conversation' screen, enter a 10-digit mobile number or a contact name in the 'Recipient' field.
    Note Alternatively, tap the Contact icon Contact icon (upper-right) to select one or more recipients from your contacts list then tap Done.
    Note Chat enabled contacts are identified by a blue dot (bottom-right) on their Caller ID image. Once selected, the names of chat enabled participants appear in blue.
    Note To add an attachment:
    1. Tap the Plus icon + (left of the 'Enter message' field).
    2. Locate then select the appropriate attachment.
  5. From the Enter message field, enter a message.
  6. Tap the Send icon Send icon.

  4. Tap the Menu Icon Menu icon (upper-right).
  5. Tap Add recipients.
  6. Enter a 10-digit mobile number or a contact name.

  7. Tap Done (at the bottom).

Leave Group Chat
