Alcatel GO FLIP™ V - Turn Wi-Fi Calling On / Off

When turned on, Wi-Fi Calling may improve call quality while indoors.

Note Notes:

  • For Wi-Fi Calling to work, verify:
  • Wi-Fi Calls always originate in the US, even when you're outside of the US.
    • Calls to US numbers are not billed (except for 411 or other premium calls).
    • Calls to international numbers are billed according to your international long distance plan.


  1. From the main screen, select Menu.
    Note Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the OK button to select.

  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Call settings.
  4. Select Wi-Fi Calling.
  5. Select Wi-Fi Calling again.
  6. Highlight 'On' or 'Off' then press OK to select:
    Note If activating Wi-Fi Calling for the first time:
    1. Select Activate Wi-Fi Calling.
    2. Review the Terms & Conditions then select CONTINUE.
      Note Ensure the Terms & Conditions option is checked Checkmark.
    3. Enter the emergency location information (E911) address then select SAVE.
      Caution This info gets transmitted to the emergency dispatcher for all 911 Wi-Fi calls. If address validation fails, you will be required to re-enter a valid address.
      Note Upon successful validation of the address, Wi-Fi Calling turns on.


Note To select your calling preference while traveling outside the Verizon wireless coverage area or internationally, ensure Wi-Fi calling is turned on, select When Roaming, select 'Prefer Other Cellular Networks' or 'Prefer Wi-Fi' then restart the device.
