moto z4 - Auto Switch Between Wi-Fi & Mobile Data Networks

To automatically switch from a weak or unstable Wi-Fi network to the Verizon Wireless cellular network to preserve a consistent data connection, view this info.

Note Notes:

  • When enabled, this advanced setting allows the device to switch from a weak or unstable Wi-Fi network to the Verizon Wireless cellular network to preserve consistent data throughput.
  • This function is not enabled by default; the device prompts the user to enable the feature the first time they experience poor Wi-Fi connectivity Wifi connectivity issues icon.

 

Warning When connected to the Verizon Wireless cellular network, data overage charges may apply (depending upon data plan). For data usage info, refer to the My Verizon website.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Network & internet Network and Internet icon > Wi-Fi Wi-Fi icon.
    Note Ensure the switch (upper-right) is turned on On icon.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi preferences then tap Advanced Down arrow icon.
  4. Tap Avoid bad Wi-Fi connections to turn on On icon or off Switch off.
