Import Contact / Address Book Info to a Comma Separated Values (*.csv) File - Microsoft® Outlook

Note A comma separated values (.csv) file is a text file that contains rows of data separated by commas.

  1. From the desktop, navigate: Start > (Programs) All Programs > Microsoft® Office > Microsoft® Office Outlook.
  2. Click File > Open & Export.
  3. Click Import / Export.
  4. Select Import from another program or file then click Next.
  5. Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" then click Next.
  6. Click Browse.
  7. Navigate to the desired csv file then click OK.
  8. From the "Import a File" screen, click Next.
  9. Select Contacts then click Next.
  10. Select the file to be imported then click Finish.
