Restore Settings to Factory Defaults - Verizon Jetpack® 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi® 5510L

If your Jetpack powers off on its own, crashes and resets, freezes, won't charge or runs slow, view this info.

Caution Restore Settings to Factory Defaults only if absolutely necessary as it:

  • removes all modified settings including Network Name (SSID), Wi-Fi/Admin Password, etc.
  • restores the default settings viewable on the external LED of the device.

  1. Ensure the device is powered on.
  2. Remove the battery cover.
    Note Utilizing the provided slot, carefully lift then detach the cover.

  3. Utilizing a paperclip (or similar tool), press and hold the reset button until "MiFi Resetting" appears on the display then release.
    Note Allow several minutes for the restore process to complete.

  4. Replace the battery cover.
    NoteAfter restoring to factory defaults, ensure Power Management Settings are set to the preferred options.

Note Alternatively, a restore can also be done as follows:

  1. Access the Admin Web Interface.
  2. From the left menu, click Jetpack Settings.
  3. From the Jetpack tab, click Backup and Restore.
  4. From the Restore to Factory Defaults section, click Restore Factory Defaults.
  5. Click Confirm.
    Note Allow several minutes for the restore process to complete.
    Note After restoring to factory defaults, ensure Power Management Settings are set to the preferred options.
