Add a Virtual Private Network - BlackBerry® Z10

Note Contact the VPN administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.

  1. From the home screen, select Settings.
    Note If not available, swipe down from the top of the display (where the time is located).
  2. Select Network Connections.
  3. Select VPN.
  4. Select Tap to add new VPN profile.
  5. Enter/configure the following settings:
    • Profile Name
    • Server Address
    • Gateway Type
      • Check Point Software Technologies VPN-1
      • Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator
      • Cisco Secure PIX Firewall VPN
      • Cisco IOS with Easy VPN Server
      • Cisco ASA
      • Juniper IPsec VPN (SRX Series)
      • Juniper IPsec VPN (NetScreen Series)
      • Juniper SSL VPN (MAG/SA Series)
      • Microsoft IKEv2 VPN Server
      • Generic IKEv2 VPN Server
    • Authentication Type
      • PSK
      • PKI
      • XAUTH-PSK
      • XAUTH-PKI
    • Group Username
    • Group Password
    • Hardware token
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Username
    • Password
  6. If applicable, select Advanced (located at the bottom).
    Note If the keyboard is present, select and hold the space bar Space bar icon to close the keyboard and view the hidden options.
    Note If advanced options are not applicable, skip to step 8.
  7. Enter/configure the following settings:
    • Automatically determine IP
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Automatically determine DNS
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Automatically determine algorithm
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • IKE Lifetime (seconds)
    • IPSec Lifetime (seconds)
    • NAT Keep Alive (seconds)
    • DPD Frequency (seconds)
    • Disable banner
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Use HTTP proxy
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  8. Select Save (located at the bottom).
    Note If the keyboard is present, select and hold the space bar Space bar icon to close the keyboard and view the hidden options.
