USB Debugging Mode - The all new HTC One® (M8)

If you need to facilitate a connection between your device and a computer with the Android SDK (software development kit), view this info.

Note If Developer Options are unavailable, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings > About > Software Information > More then tap Build number 7 times.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Apps icon Apps icon (located at the bottom).
  2. Tap Settings.
    Note If unavailable, tap the Dropdown menu Applications dropdown menu icon (located in the upper-left) then select Alphabetical. If still unavailable, refer to Manage App Icons.
  3. From the SYSTEM section, tap Developer options.
  4. If prompted, tap OK.
  5. Ensure the Developer options switch (located in the upper-right) is turned on Wi-Fi switch On icon.
  6. From the DEBUGGING section, tap USB debugging to enable/disable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    Note If presented with Allow USB debugging screen, tap OK.
