Add a Virtual Private Network - Samsung Galaxy S® 5
A virtual private network (VPN) encrypts your internet traffic and protects your online identity via a secured remote server and is most commonly used when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.).
From a Home screen, navigate: Apps > Settings > More networks.
These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
Tap VPN then tap Basic VPN.
If presented with a lock screen notification, tap OK.
Refer to Set Up Screen Lock (Pattern, PIN or Password only) for assistance.
Tap the Add icon + (upper-right).
From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
Contact the VPN administrator for assistance with server info and credentials.
From the Type field, tap the Dropdown menu (right) then select the VPN type:
PSK L2TP/IPSec RSA
IPSec Xauth PSK
IPSec Xauth RSA
IPSec Hybrid RSA
IPSec IKEv2 PSK
IPSec IKEv2 RSA
Enter the required info into the applicable fields then tap Save (lower-right).
