Honeycomb (Android 3.0 release) is optimized for Android tablets. Its new virtual user interface design has a vibrant, 3D look and feel. Updates include advanced multitasking, rich notifications, Home screen customization, widgets, a new set of standard apps and more.
The steps to find the current OS version varies by device. Below are general instructions that work for most Android devices. For detailed instructions about a specific device, please check the user guide.
To check your current Android OS version:

Honeycomb comes with five customizable Home screens for instant access to all parts of the system. Arrange your Home screen apps, widgets and wallpapers in an easy, visual interface.
With the Recent Apps list in the System Bar, you can see all your open tasks and quickly jump from one app to another — a key strength of Android 3.0. Task snapshots make it easy to see your most recent app activity.
Honeycomb’s standard apps are optimized for Android tablets. The browser window has multiple tabs, better browsing for non-mobile sites and combined bookmarks and history. The camera and gallery offer new options for pictures and video. Email and contacts are updated to help you stay organized.
