Configure the Email Client to Leave Messages on Server after Retrieval - Macintosh®

This may correct issues if you're receiving emails to your computer/PC but not your device.

Microsoft Outlook Express Macintosh Edition 4 and 4.5

  1. Click File.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click the arrow beside Accounts, then click E-mail.
  4. Click Advanced.
  5. Ensure Leave a copy of messages on server is checked.
  6. Click OK.

Microsoft Outlook Express Macintosh Edition 5

  1. Click Tools.
  2. Click Accounts.
  3. Click the Mail tab.
  4. Select the email account, then click Edit.
  5. Click the Options tab.
  6. Ensure Leave a copy of messages on server is checked.
  7. Click OK.

  1. Click Tools.
  2. Click Accounts.
  3. Verify the correct email account is highlighted, then click Edit.
  4. From the Edit Account screen, click the Options tab.
  5. Ensure Leave a copy of messages on server is checked

  1. Click Special.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. From the left pane, click Checking Mail.
  4. Ensure Leave on server for 'X' days is checked.
  5. Click OK.

  1. Click Options.
  2. Click Mail and News Preferences.
  3. Click the Servers tab.
  4. Click the Removed from the server option.
  5. Click OK.

Netscape 4.05 for Macintosh

  1. Click Edit.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. From Categories, click Mail & Groups.
  4. Click Mail Server.
  5. Ensure Leave messages on server after retrieval is checked.
  6. Click OK.

Netscape 4.5 to 4.7 for Macintosh

  1. Click Edit.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. From Categories, click Mail & Newsgroups.
  4. Click Mail Server.
  5. From Incoming Mail Servers, click Edit.
  6. From Mail Server Properties, click the POP tab.
  7. Ensure Leave messages on server is checked.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click OK.

  1. Click Mail.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Verify the correct email address is highlighted, then click Edit.
  4. Click the Account Options tab.
  5. Ensure Delete messages from server after downloading is not checked.

  1. Click Mail.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click the Accounts tab, then select the email account.
  4. Click the Advanced tab.
  5. Ensure Remove copy from the server after retrieving a message is not checked.
