Note To share media files:

Here are a few ways to share your screen with a TV. A compatible TV or additional accessories may be required. Check with your TV manufacturer for additional support.

Share Your Screen

Note Follow these steps to view your entire screen contents on your TV.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Apps icon Apps icon (located in the lower-right).
  2. Tap Gallery, Music, or Video.
  3. Select the appropriate media (picture, video, music).
  4. Tap Share (located at the bottom).
    Note If necessary, tap the screen to display the share option.
  5. Tap View content on.
  6. From the Select device screen, tap the appropriate device.
  7. To play or view a file, tap a picture, video or song.
  8. To download a song or video, touch and hold the file then tap Download.
    Note To download a picture, tap the picture then tap Download Download icon (located in the upper-right).

Media Server Settings (DLNA)

Note Configure these settings to share files with a DLNA-enabled device (e.g., TV, game console, etc.). To determine whether your device supports the DLNA standard, see this product database.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Wireless and networks section, tap More.
  3. From the Media share section, tap the Nearby devices then tap On On switch indicator or Off Off switch indicator.
  4. From the Advanced section, tap Content to share to enable/disable the following content to share then tap OK:
    • Videos
    • Photos
    • Music
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  5. Tap Allowed devices.
  6. Tap Blocked devices.
  7. Tap Download to then select one of the following:
    • Device
    • SD card
  8. Tap Receive files from other device then select one of the following:
    • Always accept
    • Always ask
    • Always reject
