Apple® iPhone® - Adjust Email Account Settings (Exchange ActiveSync®)

Note Notes:

  • Server addresses, security info, and additional support can be obtained from your IT/Exchange admin.
  • The steps below don't apply to the iPhone 5ciPhone 5iPhone 4siPhone 4.


  1. From a Home screen, navigate: tap Settings Settings icon > Passwords & Accounts.
    Note If unavailable, navigate: Settings > Accounts & Passwords.
  2. From the 'ACCOUNTS' section, tap the corporate email account.
  3. Tap the following switch(es) to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off:
    • Mail
    • Contacts
    • Calendars
    • Reminders
  4. Tap Mail Days to Sync.
  5. Select the number of mail days to sync then tap Back icon Exchange (upper-left) to return to the previous screen.
    Note Selected when a checkmark is present.
  6. Tap the Exchange account.
  7. Verify the account info then tap Done:
    • Email
    • Server
    • Domain (optional)
    • Username
    • Password
    • Description
  8. Tap Advanced Settings.
  9. Tap the Use SSL switch to turn on or off.
  10. Select the Discarded Messages option:
    • Deleted Mailbox
    • Archive Mailbox
  11. Tap the S/MIME switch to turn on or off then tap Back icon Account.
