If you're calling into an automated dial-in system (e.g., voicemail) and your dialpad entries aren't being recognized, view this info.

Note Dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones are used by automated dial-in systems such as voicemail or where prompts are used to navigate.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Phone icon Tap the Phone Icon (lower-left).
    Note If not available, navigate: Apps icon Tap the Apps Icon > Phone Tap the Phone Icon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Tap the Menu Icon (upper-right).
  3. Tap Call Settings.
  4. Tap Dial pad touch tones to turn it on On Switch or off Switch Off.
  5. Tap DTMF then select one of the following:
    • Normal
    • Long
