Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ - Reset Network Settings

If you can't connect to the internet, send or receive email and/or messages (text, picture or video), resetting the network settings may help.

Caution By performing the steps below, the following are cleared or restored to default values:

  • Cellular and Wi-Fi network settings (including saved networks and passwords)
  • Bluetooth®


  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > General management General management icon > Reset.
  3. Tap Reset network settings.
  4. Tap Reset settings.
  5. If applicable, enter the PIN, password, fingerprint, or pattern then tap Reset again to confirm.
