Follow these steps to restore your content (e.g., contacts, photos, music, etc.) from your old iPhone to new iPhone.
From the Home screen of your old phone, tap Settings.
Tap the Apple profile (e.g., John Doe) at the top of the Settings menu.
If prompted, enter the Apple ID and password then tap Sign In.
If you forgot your password, follow these step-by-step instructions.
Tap the switch(es) to turn the ability to back up a specific app (e.g., Mail, Contacts, etc.) on or off .
When the switch is turned off, the data is not backed up and any data already backed up to iCloud is removed.
If prompted, select one of the following:
Delete from My iPhone
Keep on My iPhone
Tap iCloud Backup.
Tap the iCloud Backup switch to turn it on or off .
If prompted, tap OK.
Tap Back Up Now to immediately add or remove data from iCloud.
A screen with a progress bar is displayed until the back up is completed.
While completing initial setup on your new phone, tap Restore from iCloud Backup.
Enter your Apple ID then tap Next (upper-right) to sign in to iCloud.
To continue, read the Terms and Conditions then tap Agree (lower-right).
Tap the preferred backup file from the list displayed.
Tap Continue to restore settings from iCloud backup then follow on screen prompts.
A screen with a progress bar displays until the Restore completes. Time to restore content depends on amount of data being transfered.
Ensure all of your content is transferred. If any content is missing on your new iPhone, check to see if content needs to be moved from other cloud services (e.g., Verizon Cloud, Google, etc.) and/or use the Content Transfer app available on the App Store.
