moto g6 - Turn Voice & Video On / Off - HD Voice

Caution Caution:

  • HD Voice isn't recommended if you use a 1X/3G Network Extender or a TTY/TDD device.
  • HD Voice on the smartphone must be turned on if you use a 4G Network Extender.
  • If located in Alaska, it's not recommended to turn off HD Voice for troubleshooting purposes as it causes the device to roam off the Verizon Wireless network.

Note Notes:

  • HD Voice calling requires both parties to be in Verizon 4G LTE coverage area, have HD voice capable devices and be provisioned for HD Voice to do simultaneous voice and data.
  • HD Voice is included in existing voice plans and minutes are billed as regular voice calls.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Arrow up icon Up arrow icon to display all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Network & Internet Wi-Fi icon > Advanced Calling Advanced calling icon.
  3. Tap Advanced Calling.
  4. Tap the Advanced Calling switch (upper-right) to turn on On indicator or off Off indicator.
  5. If presented with a confirmation screen, tap OK.

  6. Select one of the following:
    Note Selected when a green dot is present.
    • HD Voice and Video calling
      Note When video calling is turned on, others can see that the phone has video calling.
    • HD Voice only
