Edit a User Account - Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0)

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Accounts (left pane) > Users (right pane).
  3. Do one of the following:
  • To edit a full access user account:
    1. From the You section (upper-right), tap the account name.
      Note To edit a different account than the one listed, you must switch to the account by doing the following:
      1. Select the appropriate user name from the Users and profiles section.
        Note The device logs out of the current user account and into the selected account.
      2. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen then navigate: Settings > Accounts (left pane) > Users (right pane).
      3. From the You section (upper-right), tap the account name.
    2. Edit the name.
    3. Tap OK.
       
  • To edit a restricted access user account:
    Note Restricted access accounts can only be edited by the Owner account (the first account used to access the device).
    1. Ensure that you are logged into the Owner account.
      Note If necessary, swipe up or down from the center of a Home screen then navigate: Settings > Accounts (left pane) > Users (right pane) then select the Owner account.
    2. If necessary, navigate back to the Users screen then tap the Settings icon Settings icon located to the right of the account name.
    3. From the Application/content restrictions section, configure the restrictions as desired.
      Note Turn on Switch on to allow access to an app or turn off Switch off to restrict access.
