Verizon Cloud - Apple® iPhone® - Install and Configure

Note Any contacts backed up using Backup Assistant can be restored to any iPhone using Verizon Cloud.

Note Notes:

  • The iPhone 4 can't upgrade to or install the latest version of Verizon Cloud due to software limitations of the operating system on the phone.
  • An Apple ID must be created to use the App Store.
  • For assistance with retrieving or changing Apple ID passwords, refer to If you forgot your Apple ID password.
  • To transfer content directly from one device to the other refer to Access Content Transfer App for assistance.
  • Contacts are automatically restored to the device during the installation and configuration process.


  1. From the Home screen, tap App Store.
  2. Tap the Search tab Search (bottom).
  3. From the search field, enter Verizon Cloud.
  4. Tap Verizon Cloud then tap Get / Cloud download icon.
  5. If prompted, tap Install.
    Note If prompted, use your password to sign in to the iTunes Store.
    Note If prompted, decide on when to require a password for downloads.
  6. Tap Open.
  7. If prompted with 'Verizon Cloud Would like to Send You Notifications', tap the desired option:
    • Don't Allow
    • Allow
  8. Tap Set Up Verizon Cloud.
  9. Enter your My Verizon user ID and password then tap Sign In.
    Note If prompted, enter the answer to the security question then tap Continue.
  10. Grant Verizon Cloud access to the following items by tapping OK.
    Note Access is required for successful backup. Refer to About privacy and Location Services in iOS 8 and later.

  11. Grant Verizon Cloud access to Location services by tapping Allow.
  12. Tap a content option to turn the switches on Switch on or off Switch off.
    Note These options can be changed anytime by managing settings.

  13. Read the product info and continue to tap Next as needed then tap Done.
