My Verizon Website - Internet Spam Blocking

For additional blocking options refer to Call and Message Blocking and our Smart Family™ FAQs.

  1. From a web browser, sign in to My Verizon.
  2. From the My Verizon Home screen, navigate: Plan > Family Controls.
  3. Click View Details & Edit (on the right in the 'Internet Spam Blocking' section).
    Note If presented, click Add Now to activate this free add-on.
  4. From the 'Internet Spam Blocking' section, add/remove email addresses, domains, or text names.
  5. From the 'Message Blocking Preferences' section, select whether or not to block the following then click Apply:
    Note Selected when a check mark is present.
    • Block all text messages sent from the web
    • Block all text messages sent from emails
  6. When presented, click OK to confirm changes.
