My Verizon app - Manage Privacy Settings

Note Notes:

  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android® devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit to sign in and manage your account.
  • Changes to these items may take up to 15 minutes to appear on your account.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).

  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Account.
  3. Tap Account Settings.
  4. Tap the Privacy tab (at the top) then tap Select (below the mobile number you wish to update).
  5. From the 'Set privacy preferences' page, tap the applicable switch(es) to enable Swich on icon or disable Swich off icon any of the following:

    • Relevant Mobile Advertising
  6. If desired, tap any of the following options to adjust settings:

Verizon Selects

  1. Tap the switch to participate (green position) or not participate (grey position).
    Note For more info on Verizon Selects, tap View Details.
  2. If prompted, review the Terms and Conditions then tap Accept (at the bottom).
  3. To reset your Verizon Selects data, review the info in the 'Reset for a fresh start section' then tap Reset (at the bottom; may require scrolling).

Location Services

Note When enabled:

  • Sends your device alerts about product offers when in the vicinity of a Verizon Wireless retail store.
  • Automatically checks you in for in-store pickup, appointments or workshops.
  • Allows you to use your device to scan and purchase accessories.

  1. From the Status section near the top of the page, view your status (enabled or disabled).
  2. View the in-app instructions to adjust your status and update your location services settings.
  3. Tap Done.
