Manage Device Options - My Verizon app

Learn how to manage Share Name IDs, service blocks, call forwarding and other device settings for your My Verizon account.

Note Notes:

  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android® devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit verizonwireless.com to sign in and manage your account.
  • Changes to these items may take up to 15 minutes to appear on your account.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).

 

  1. From the Home screen, tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (located upper-left) then tap Devices.
  3. Tap the Manage icon (below the mobile number you want to update).
  4. From the 'What would you like to do?' screen, tap any of the following to make updates:

 

Edit device nickname

  1. From the Manage tab (upper-left), tap Edit device nickname.
  2. From the 'Make it easy to identify...' screen, tap the Device nickname field and enter the desired nickname.
  3. Tap Update (at the bottom).
  4. Tap the Back icon Back arrow (upper-left) to return to the 'What would you like to do?' screen or press the Home button (if available) to exit.

Edit Share Name ID

  1. From the Manage tab upper-left), tap Edit Share Name ID.
    Note The Manage tab is selected when the text is in red.
  2. From the 'Customize what people see...' screen, tap the Enter Share Name ID field then enter the appropriate info.
  3. To continue, tap (check) the Terms and Conditions box.
  4. Tap Update (at the bottom).
  5. Tap the Back icon Back arrow (upper-left) to return to the 'What would you like to do?' screen or press the Home button (if available) to exit.

Update service address

  1. From the Manage tab (upper-left), tap Update service address.
    Note The Manage tab is selected when the text is in red.
  2. Tap Edit (at the bottom).
  3. Tap any of the fields beneath Service address and enter appropriate info then tap Update (at the bottom).
  4. Tap the Back icon Back arrow (upper-left) to return to the 'What would you like to do?' screen or press the Home button (if available) to exit.

Advanced device details

  1. From the Manage tab (upper-left), tap Advanced device details.
    Note The Manage tab is selected when the text is in red.
  2. From the 'Here's your technical device info' screen, review the following then tap Done (at the bottom):
    • SIM
    • IMEI
    • Device Model
