My Verizon app - Adjust Service Blocks

Note Notes:

  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android® devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit to sign in and manage your account.
  • Changes to these items may take up to 15 minutes to appear on your account.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).

  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left).
  3. Tap Devices (may require scrolling down).
  4. Tap the Manage icon beneath the device you want to update.
  5. From the 'What would you like to do?' screen, tap the Controls tab then tap Adjust service blocks.
    Note The Controls tab is selected when the text is in red.
  6. Tap the following switch(es) to turn on (blue or green position) or off (black position) for any of the following:
    Note Depending on the available add-ons, switches may appear differently.

    • Block Video Downloads
    • Block Purchases and Gifting
    • Block All Messaging
    • Block Picture & Video Messaging
    • Caller ID Blocking
    • Block App Downloads
    • Block Visual Voicemail
    • Block Prem Visual Voicemail
    • Block VZ In-App Purchases
    • Video Calling Block
  7. Tap the 'Back arrow icon' Back arrow icon (upper-left) to return to the 'Keep an eye on your lines' screen or press the 'Home button/icon' (if available) to exit the app.
