Turn Touch / Face ID On / Off - My Verizon App

Note Notes: 

  • The My Verizon app can be accessed using fingerprint or facial recognition depending upon the capabilities of your device.
  • Ensure fingerprint or facial recognition is enabled on your device prior to enabling in the My Verizon app.
  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android® devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit verizonwireless.com to sign in and manage your account.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).

Turn On Touch / Face ID

  1. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left).
  2. Tap Account.
    Note If prompted, enter your password then tap Sign In.
  3. If prompted, accept the terms and conditions then tap Turn on.
    Note If not prompted, do the following:
    1. Tap Account Settings.
    2. Tap Security.
    3. Tap the 'Enable Touch ID' or the 'Enable Face ID' switch to turn on then enter your password if prompted.
      Note Turned on when the switch is in the blue (Android) or green (iOS) position.
    4. To continue, tap Accept terms.

Turn Off Touch / Face ID

  1. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left).
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Tap Account Settings.
  4. Tap Security.
  5. Tap the Enable Touch ID switch to turn off.
    Note Turned off when the switch is in the gray position.
